The Until It Sleeps songs is from Metallica's popular Load album. It was the first single from the album and the first release since Metallica's monster smash, The Black Album. It's nearly as good as the best Darth Vader quotes in the Star Wars film saga. Nearly. 

What is the song's meaning?

Whilst the song's lyrics may interpreted as dealing with anger issues, it's acknowledged by James Hetfield that they are about his father's death of cancer and thus mirrors the song Mama Said which is about James' mother dying of cancer as well.
